Longarm Classes and Rentals

Longarm Quilting Classes

We offer longarm quilting lessons on our Bernina Q24 longarm machine with the Qmatic robotics and software system and longarm machine rentals. Completion of the Longarm Basics and Qmatics and Edge to Edge Quilting classes are required to able to rent the machine. Classes and rentals are by appointment.
 

 

Longarm Basics Class

​

In this Basics Certification Course, you will learn everything that you need to know to get started quilting your own quilts on a longarm! This class focuses on loading the long arm frame, threading the machine, and practicing hand-guided, free-motion quilting techniques.

  • Class is from 10am to 3pm. We will take a break for lunch around noon. Please bring your lunch.

  • We supply batting and thread for the class. Please bring a quilt top or whole cloth and backing measuring 48" x 48."

  • After completing the Basics Longarm Class, you are welcome to book rental time on the Q24 and get those projects quilted!

  • Rental times must be booked in advance by phone. Payment is required at time of booking. Rental slots are first-come-first served.

Qmatics & Edge to Edge Class

Take your longarm quilting to the next level using the Qmatics software program and robotics. Finish your quilts with ease. 

 

In this class you will learn to design a quilt using Qmatics, selecting pantographs, setting your safe area, realigning your safe area as you roll your quilts forward and more.


Students must have completed the Long Arm Basics class BEFORE enrolling in the Qmatics and Edge to Edge class. No exceptions​

Longarm Rental

​

Once you’ve taken either the Basics Class or the Qmatics and Edge to Edge class (or both!), we invite you to rent the longarm machine and finish your quilts yourself. Machine rental is by appointment only and hours are flexible. Reservation is on a first come, first served basis. Payment is required upon reservation.

​

Rental Fee is $69 per day.
